The Bernards Inn

Red Horse at The Bernard’s Inn, a luxurious wedding venue nestled in the heart of Bernardsville, New Jersey, has recently unveiled an exciting collaboration with renowned celebrity chef David Burke. This partnership has transformed the venue into a culinary and event destination, offering a newly renovated restaurant bar, a main dining room, and an exclusive restaurant named “The Bernie.” The venue promises an idyllic escape for couples seeking a romantic and intimate setting for their wedding. The elegance of the decor, featuring glamorous chandeliers and cozy stone fireplaces, provides a sophisticated backdrop for celebrations, ensuring that every detail aligns with the couple’s dreams.

The Bernie, previously known as the Silver Vault & Wine Pantry, is a private and intimate space located on the lower level of the venue. With its rich history dating back to the 1920s, this space has been transformed from a speakeasy to a bowling alley, and now to an elegant dining area. Retaining its original brick and stone features, The Bernie’s decor mirrors the charm of the estate homes from the Bernardsville Mountain Colony. It offers a rustic ambiance, ideal for cocktail hours or private functions, with seating for up to 55 guests in the dining room and 40 in the bar area. Although not handicap accessible, The Bernie provides a unique and cozy setting for smaller gatherings, complete with a hidden TV for entertainment.

For larger events, the Fenwick Ballroom stands out as the most significant event space at Red Horse by David Burke at The Bernard’s Inn. This 2,300-square-foot ballroom is designed to host grand ceremonies and receptions, featuring large windows, a built-in bar, and a breathtaking skyline view. It can accommodate up to 160 guests, including a dance floor and live entertainment. For more intimate occasions, the ballroom can be divided into two separate areas, offering flexibility in event planning. The venue’s dedicated staff is committed to ensuring seamless event execution, handling setup and breakdown so that guests can fully enjoy their celebration.

In addition to the stunning event spaces, the venue offers an array of services to enhance the wedding experience. The collaboration with Chef David Burke brings a whimsical and creative culinary approach, with the option for a customized wedding menu crafted by a talented culinary team. Guests can also enjoy on-site hotel accommodations, including 20 well-appointed rooms and bridal and groom suites. This comprehensive offering, coupled with the venue’s enchanting atmosphere and esteemed culinary expertise, makes Red Horse at The Bernard’s Inn a premier choice for couples seeking an unforgettable wedding experience.
