Rebecca’s journey into photography began at the tender age of 13, capturing the raw energy of punk concerts featuring iconic bands like MxPx, Bad Religion, and The Offspring. Over the past two decades, her passion for music and photography has only grown, allowing her to photograph a multitude of bands in diverse concert settings. This experience has honed her skills in dynamic environments, making her transition into wedding photography an exciting endeavor. Her unique ability to adapt to new venues and lighting conditions translates seamlessly into capturing the spontaneity and joy of weddings, turning challenges into creative opportunities.
Rebecca’s extensive travels as a Navy brat have enriched her perspective, having lived and worked across Virginia, Oregon, California, and now for over a decade in New York. Her time spent in Iceland further broadened her horizons, influencing her artistic vision. While completing her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art with a focus on Advertising Photography in San Francisco, she began her foray into wedding and family photography. Her education and experiences have equipped her with a deep understanding of lighting and composition, essential tools for her photojournalistic approach to capturing weddings.
Now settled in the picturesque Hudson Valley with her husband, who shares her passion for photography, Rebecca has been documenting weddings in the region for nearly 11 years. She has had the privilege of working at some of the most stunning venues, including Whitby Castle, Feast at Round Hill, University Settlement Camp, and the historic West Point Academy at the Thayer Hotel. Her familiarity with these locations allows her to create timeless images that resonate with the unique character of each venue.
