Harn Homestead Museum

Nestled within 10 picturesque acres in the heart of Oklahoma City, the Harn Homestead Museum offers a unique and historical setting for weddings and events. Situated conveniently on Lincoln Blvd between the OU Med Center and the Capitol, this venue combines accessibility with charm, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a memorable backdrop for their special occasions. With its expansive grounds, the museum features several outdoor ceremony sites, including a romantic wedding tree and a charming gazebo, providing versatile options for any event theme.

The event barn at the Harn Homestead Museum is designed to accommodate gatherings of varying sizes, with a capacity of up to 200 seated guests and 500 standing attendees. While the venue provides 25 round tables, 6 rectangular tables, and 200 chairs, renters are responsible for supplying additional items needed for their events. This flexibility extends to catering, as the museum allows open catering, requiring caterers to present their Oklahoma licenses, ensuring that every aspect of the culinary experience is tailored to the host’s preferences.

A key feature of hosting an event at the Harn Homestead Museum is the requirement for a special event insurance policy, which is easily obtainable through platforms like eWed and Markel event insurance, or through private insurance companies. This policy ensures that all events are conducted safely and securely. Additionally, the museum mandates that a licensed bartender serve all alcoholic beverages, including beer and wine, ensuring compliance with local regulations and enhancing the professionalism of each event.

For the convenience of the wedding party, the venue provides access to two historic dressing rooms, one of which includes a private restroom, allowing for a comfortable and private space to prepare for the big day. The rental fee also includes the services of a security officer, ensuring that every event proceeds smoothly and without interruption. Prospective clients are encouraged to explore the venue further through the gallery’s exclusive 360° Virtual Tour, offering an immersive preview of the enchanting spaces available for their upcoming celebration.
