Haig Point Club

Haig Point Club, nestled on the picturesque Daufuskie Island in South Carolina, offers an enchanting wedding venue that seamlessly blends historic charm with modern amenities. Established in 1986, this private community spans 1,050 acres and boasts fewer than 300 homes, providing an exclusive and intimate setting for your special day. Surrounded by breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, Calibogue Sound, and Cooper River, Haig Point Club is conveniently located between Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, and Savannah, Georgia. Accessible only by a private ferry from Hilton Head Island, the island’s serene ambiance is enhanced by limited vehicular traffic, with golf carts serving as the primary mode of transportation.

At Haig Point Club, a variety of stunning venues await to host your wedding events. The historic Lighthouse and Lawn, dating back to 1873, offers a spectacular private space for up to 150 guests with panoramic views of Calibogue Sound. For larger gatherings, the Tabby Ruins Lawn can accommodate up to 300 guests amidst a scenic outdoor setting surrounded by Calibogue Sound, Strachan Mansion, and historic ruins. The club provides versatile tent rentals, ensuring your event is tailored to your desires. The Daufuskie Main Dining Room, the largest indoor space available, offers over 2,000 square feet with beautiful fairway views, two fireplaces, and an expansive outdoor veranda.

For a seaside celebration, the Beach Club Deck and Private Beach offer an idyllic setting with a full 360-degree bar, a fire pit, and breathtaking views of Calibogue Sound and Harbor Town Lighthouse. The adjacent resort-style pool, cabanas, and screened-in lounge provide a perfect backdrop for a beach ceremony, poolside cocktail hour, or tented reception. The Calibogue Club, a fine-dining restaurant with unmatched views of Calibogue Sound, is ideal for pre-dinner cocktails or intimate dining experiences, accommodating up to 100 guests. The restaurant features two floors, a screened-in porch, and side sun decks, all accessible via elevator.

Haig Point Club ensures your wedding experience is complete with luxurious overnight accommodations for you and your guests. The historic Strachan Mansion, featuring a Starbucks, pub, general store, and four guest suites, offers stunning views of the Tabby Ruins Lawn and the ocean. The fully restored Haig Point Lighthouse, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, provides a unique lodging experience with two rooms, a kitchen, and a dining room. Additionally, private member homes ranging from two-bedroom villas to five-bedroom mansions are available for rent, offering flexible accommodations during your wedding events.

Committed to bringing your wedding vision to life, Haig Point Club provides comprehensive services, including accommodations, a bridal suite, in-house catering, all-inclusive packages, and event rentals. Their experienced staff ensures a seamless experience, assisting with setup, cleanup, and everything in between. From bridal showers and engagement parties to elopements, rehearsal dinners, ceremonies, and receptions, Haig Point Club is a pet-friendly destination that guarantees an unforgettable backdrop for your wedding events and photos.
