Fire House KC Event Space

Nestled in the heart of Kansas City, Fire House KC is a beautifully restored event space that seamlessly blends historic charm with modern elegance. Originally Fire Station No. 31, this venue has been meticulously revamped, preserving significant artifacts like the original fire pole, antique fire hose cart, and fire hose shaft, which add a unique character to the space. The main hall exudes an elegant ambiance with its original brick walls and antique chandeliers, while the second floor, once the quarters for on-duty workers, now houses luxurious suites for wedding parties and an intimate ceremony room. This venue can accommodate up to 150 guests, offering a perfect setting for weddings and unique events.

Fire House KC offers full access to its event space for each rental, ensuring exclusivity for your special day. The venue includes the main hall, a charming courtyard, three lounges, and an upstairs ceremony room. The courtyard, with its capacity to seat 120 guests, is an ideal spot for ceremonies or cocktail hours. The rental period spans 12 consecutive hours, allowing ample time for setup, the event itself, and cleanup. This flexibility ensures that your celebration can proceed smoothly and according to your schedule, with earliest access starting at 9:00 AM.

Catering and bar services at Fire House KC are designed to provide flexibility and customization. The venue follows an open catering policy, allowing you to choose your own licensed and insured caterer. While the prep kitchen is available for food preparation, cooking is not permitted on-site. Alcohol can be brought in by renters and must be served by a licensed bartender or bar service company. The venue’s policies ensure that all vendors are informed and compliant, providing a seamless experience on your special day.

Fire House KC is equipped with a professional-grade sound system in the main hall, encouraging bands or DJs to utilize it for optimal sound quality. Additionally, a projection screen and wireless microphone are available for use, enhancing the entertainment options for your event. Security is an important aspect of any event, and Fire House KC provides this through a private security company or an off-duty KCMO police officer, ensuring safety and peace of mind for all attendees.

The venue’s staff plays a crucial role in the planning and execution of your event, assisting with questions, conducting walkthroughs, and providing vendor referrals. They are present on-site during the event to manage the space, though renters are responsible for tasks such as furniture arrangement and room flips. With ample parking options, including two private lots and street parking, Fire House KC offers convenience alongside its historic allure, making it an ideal choice for memorable events in Kansas City.
