In 2006, the family embarked on a mission to renovate and preserve the historic buildings, opening the farm to the public in 2008. Today, Exploration Acres not only serves as a picturesque setting for weddings but also as a community hub featuring a corn maze, pumpkin patch, fire pits, and an activity space during the fall season.
The centerpiece of this enchanting venue is a 4,000-square-foot barn, built in 1928, which can accommodate up to 250 guests. Available for events from mid-April through July, the barn offers a warm and inviting atmosphere for both wedding ceremonies and receptions. Couples can choose to rent the entire barn or select specific areas such as the lower level, north loft, south loft, or west addition, depending on the size of their gathering. The venue is equipped with ample on-site parking and climate-controlled, wheelchair-accessible restrooms, ensuring convenience and comfort for all guests.
