The photographer’s journey began at the age of 16, sparked by the discovery of a 1980s silver Nikon camera in the attic. This early passion led to a Masters of Fine Art degree from UW-Milwaukee in 2017, refining their skills in both photography and the visual arts. Even today, there is a commitment to the traditional craft of photography, with film development done by hand in the kitchen sink and prints enlarged in a basement darkroom.

Beyond photography, the artist is a family-oriented individual who balances their professional life with being a stay-at-home parent to two daughters, Maple and Lucy Lu. Their love for the outdoors and fishing, combined with a passion for alternative, progressive, folk, and hardcore music, adds depth to their creative perspective. This personal touch extends to their weekend tradition of making pancakes, a nod to their daughter’s delightful name.
