Big Sky Mountain Estate

Nestled just outside of Portland, Maine, Big Sky Mountain Estate stands as one of the most coveted outdoor venues in the region, offering an idyllic setting for events from April to November. For eight years, this exquisite property has been synonymous with timeless, elevated rustic events, housed within the charming confines of a quintessential Maine log home. Located in the picturesque Mount Washington Valley in Brownfield, Maine, the estate boasts custom-designed gardens and 12 acres of open fields, providing an enchanting backdrop for any celebration. The meticulously renovated detached carriage house, barn, and home capture Maine’s rustic charm while offering modern amenities to ensure seamless events.

Big Sky Mountain Estate offers an all-encompassing wedding experience, including the use of the entire property and overnight accommodations in the Lincoln Log Home for up to 19 guests. Couples often choose to host their ceremony, reception, rehearsal dinner, and day-after brunch on the premises, creating a truly immersive wedding weekend. Guests can enjoy activities like morning hikes or yoga sessions on the deck overlooking the White Mountains, and end their evenings with s’mores around the fire pit. The estate’s proximity to North Conway, New Hampshire, allows couples and their guests to explore local attractions, including restaurants, lakes, and hiking trails, all while enjoying the privacy and natural beauty of this remarkable property.

Event customization is a hallmark of the Big Sky Mountain Estate experience, with the flexibility to set up tents on the dedicated tent pad and choose vendors from or outside the Recommended Wedding Partners Guide. Additional accommodations are available at the neighboring Blue Spruce Lodge, which can house another 14 guests. The estate provides various wedding supplies, such as arbors, a gazebo, and live-edge seating, to help reduce costs. Guests can explore the stunning perennial gardens and expansive fields, which offer ample space for yard games and activities.

Entertainment options abound at the estate, with amenities such as ping pong, air hockey, and foosball tables available for friendly tournaments. The Granite Bonfire Pit, complete with provided wood, offers a perfect spot for gathering. A wide array of yard games, including Corn Hole, Ladder Ball, Giant Jenga, and more, ensure guests have ample opportunities for fun and engagement. The estate comfortably hosts weddings averaging around 90 guests but can accommodate up to 200 guests for larger celebrations.

In addition to Big Sky Mountain Estate, “The Hive” Weddings offers other scenic wedding property options, including The Hive Chic Farmhouse & Wedding Barn in Waterford, ME, and Whispering Waters Farmhouse/Wedding Barn in Buckfield, ME. These venues, along with Blue Spruce Lodge in Brownfield, ME, provide couples with diverse settings to create their dream weddings, each offering unique features and the same level of charm and hospitality.
